Vision RT & Oregon Healthcare in new India partnership

Vision RT and Oregon health partnership

Vision RT is delighted to announce a new commercial partnership with Oregon Healthcare.

Oregon Healthcare – based in Bangalore – have more than 200 key accounts serving more than 1000 installations, including major public and private hospitals, medical college hospitals, defence hospitals, diagnostic centers and manufacturers across India and neighboring countries. As part of this partnership, they will distribute Vision RT systems, working to expand the use of Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) as the standard of care for radiation therapy across the region.

Vision RT will conduct all installations directly and will provide a support network for the region, through the use of ClinApps and Service Engineers. ClinApps (Clinical Application Specialists) are former radiation therapists, most of whom have worked in clinics with AlignRT technology. They offer practical expertise and experience in offering best-in-class training.

This new cooperative business model will allow Vision RT and Oregon Healthcare to work closely together to expand commercial operations throughout the region.

“India is an important and expanding market for us,” said Norman Smith, CEO of Vision RT. “But this partnership isn’t just about commercial priorities. We consider it a core part of Vision RT’s mission to be able to help patients throughout the world get access to a technology that makes radiation therapy safer and more comfortable for them. We’re thrilled to be working with Oregon Healthcare to be able to make SGRT more widely available to the people of India.”

SGRT, pioneered by Vision RT, uses proprietary 3D stereo camera units to monitor a patient’s skin surface in real-time and compare it to the ideal position with sub-millimetric accuracy. This ensures that radiation is delivered only when a patient is correctly positioned, enhancing safety and comfort. AlignRT is non-invasive and completely non-contact, an increasingly important advantage for cancer patients, who often have weakened immune systems.
