UX Designer (UK – London)

Role Overview:

Working closely with the Product Owners, the UX Designer will play a leading role in the design of the software user interface for the Vision RT product-line with a view to minimizing errors in product use due to human factors, ensuring efficient use and learnability of the products and avoiding human factor related issues that could influence patient safety. Equally important will be to ensure that end- users love using our products.

We are working on several high-profile green-field projects and within reason and bounds of user expectation, have carte-blanche on the design. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running in various design related roles including conceptual design, design and testing of information architecture and visual design, as well as creation of design assets for use by the development team.

The Role:

  • Support Product Owners and Product Managers in ideation and conceptual wireframing
  • Lead the design of software user interface information architecture
  • Lead the visual design of the software User Interface
  • Create and own a product style guide in both dynamic form and period snapshots
  • Support the development team with creation of assets that can be used in the software development
  • Prepare mockups and variants for user testing and from time to time, participate in carrying out user tests with internal and external clinicians.

The Candidate:

Essential skills and experience:

  • Expertise with Sketch, Invision and Adobe Creative Cloud products such as InDesign and

Photoshop

  • A demonstrable portfolio
  • Experience with standalone desktop application design as well as mobile app design
  • Ability to critique existing designs and participate in ideation for improvements in a constructive and positive way
  • Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design (or related discipline) or 4 years professional experience working in a blend of roles as a Conceptual Designer and Visual Designer
  • An ability to communicate design ideas and rational to technical, managerial and clinical staff. Additionally:

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Working as part of the Basingstoke team you’ll be undertaking comprehensive testing of our radiotherapy systems, integrating hardware, software and firmware to ensure that new and updated products achieve agreed performance and quality standards.
  • Building, maintaining, creating and executing manual and automated system tests.
  • Working closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders through the testing and development cycle, you will have the opportunity to not only test and support existing product lines through the introduction of new features, but to actively shape the test strategy as we increase the use of automated test tools and other Agile methodologies.

The Development Manager will lead two existing teams of highly qualified and accomplished professionals (software engineers, test engineers, product owners) and have the opportunity to make a real difference in developing new products as the company moves forward. The teams work with an Agile methodology on an existing C# codebase and will be introducing exciting new features and products within the radiotherapy space. Key to this role will be a strong track record in leadership, with the ability to win over the teams, enhance team cohesion and improve development efficiency to deliver results.

The role will be based between our London and Basingstoke offices together with the development teams to maximise face-to-face time with some flexibility around home-based working as well. This will include an extended period of regular working in the offices for the first three months to gain familiarity with the Vision RT product line, development processes, peers in the Product Delivery group and future product directions. Following this initial period, the role will require regular travel between London and Basingstoke.

Role Overview:

The Development Manger will be responsible for:

This role requires extensive travel installing, supporting, and maintaining all of Vision RT product range. Due to the nature of the medical industry some unsocial working hours is required.  This role requires the provision of “on call” telephone support on a rotational basis.

About the Role: 

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for growing the Company’s revenue by ensuring that nominated accounts within our existing install base (UK/BELGIUM/NETHERLANDS) are well supported and encouraged to develop use of existing VisionRT products, whilst sharing their positive experiences with their peers. The KAM will work with sites and ultimately identify new opportunities for the Sales team whilst coordinating any clinical support by working with the clinical apps team. Overall the KAM will be responsible for implementing the Vision RT strategy in the market, establishing new opportunities with existing customers, and managing service contracts provision

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Implement and execute the strategic plan for Northern Europe Region, consistent with the overall strategic plan of Vision RT
  • Work closely with the Sales Director Northern Europe to ensure our install base is well managed and opportunities for growth are identified to aid pipeline development
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by developing the use of SGRT across our existing sites.
  • Proactively lead customers to communicate more around their use of SGRT and drive clinical studies toward high effectiveness of our product portfolio
  • Fully manage the assigned customers (from clinical and sales prospective) and accordingly manage any customer requirement within the nominated sites
  • Take an active role in all LCR’s and work closely with the R&D team acting as the link between our influential customers and product development to ensure future releases are driven by customer demand.
  • Take over service contract accountability for nominated sites, applying the territory gold standard of having all systems covered under service contract
  • Take the lead amongst the install base in promoting peer to peer selling, to include site visit organisation, abstracts and presentations at local and international meetings.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including but not limited to clinical support, service, SGRT development manager, and management resources, in order to meet country performance objectives and customer’s expectations.

Performance Measures:

  • Manages all issues raised by the nominated accounts independently or by coordinating support from other VRT personnel

About the Role: 

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for growing the Company’s revenue by ensuring that nominated accounts within our existing install base (UK/BELGIUM/NETHERLANDS) are well supported and encouraged to develop use of existing VisionRT products, whilst sharing their positive experiences with their peers. The KAM will work with sites and ultimately identify new opportunities for the Sales team whilst coordinating any clinical support by working with the clinical apps team. Overall the KAM will be responsible for implementing the Vision RT strategy in the market, establishing new opportunities with existing customers, and managing service contracts provision

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Implement and execute the strategic plan for Northern Europe Region, consistent with the overall strategic plan of Vision RT
  • Work closely with the Sales Director Northern Europe to ensure our install base is well managed and opportunities for growth are identified to aid pipeline development
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by developing the use of SGRT across our existing sites.
  • Proactively lead customers to communicate more around their use of SGRT and drive clinical studies toward high effectiveness of our product portfolio

  • Take an active role in all LCR’s and work closely with the R&D team acting as the link between our influential customers and product development to ensure future releases are driven by customer demand.
  • Take over service contract accountability for nominated sites, applying the territory gold standard of having all systems covered under service contract
  • Take the lead amongst the install base in promoting peer to peer selling, to include site visit organisation, abstracts and presentations at local and international meetings.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of embedded designs, using C, C++, VHDL. The firmware engineer would work closely with Systems, Hardware and Software teams to provide firmware solutions and solve integration problems on complex systems.

In addition, the candidate will be responsible for working with the Strategic Alliance Teams to design and validate the unique gating and communications system interfaces between Vision RT products and 3rd party radiation vendors equipment to control. Ensure specifications from these 3rd party vendors are identified, reviewed and Vision RT interface updated and validated required.

The role is a chance to become a key member of a small agile team of engineers working on exciting Surface Guide Radiotherapy (SGRT) system that makes a real improvement to patients’ lives. Key responsibilities:

  • Provide third line support to field service engineers and colleagues to review system and log information to identify technical root cause analysis (RCA) of problems,
  • Write detailed RCA reports for use by the development team in the identification and repair of software issues,
  • Help specify, plan, maintain, optimise and diagnose deployments of our software applications on windows clients and servers within the customer’s environment.
  • Produce and verify change-order documentation to deploy updates to live systems.
  • Working with Azure DevOps, manage and prioritise backlog and life cycle of issues.
  • Support the entire software development lifecycle including debugging, quality assurance and installation/deployment,
  • Support customer system integrations during development, roll-out and into the future.

About the candidate:

Experience and Skills

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Competence with IT to use the essentials of Microsoft Office and Azure Devops.
  • Sufficient diagnosing application issues within Microsoft Windows, an understanding of database architecture
  • Sufficient experience of working in a team environment
  • Competence in communicating in the English language both orally and in writing
  • Customer care skills, patience, and efficiency in dealing with business contacts, customers and colleagues, by telephone and in person, in a warm and friendly manner.

We are looking to identify a highly motivated and dynamic Translation Administrator reporting to the Technical Author. This role will assist Vision RT’s translation requirements, including pre-translating documents, sending for language reviews, and updating source files with review feedback.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Translation Coordinator with translation tasks.
  • Completing ad-hoc translation tasks (e.g., Quotes and Legal Contracts).
  • Pre-translating documents and software strings using our translation software (SDL Trados Studio; training will be provided).
  • Initial testing of translated software to identify issues.
  • Capturing and localising images and screenshots for translated documents.
  • Helping to maintain translation memories with updates from Reviewers.

We are looking for a skilled Office Co-ordinator to undertake a variety of day-to-day office tasks on a part-time basis. You will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities. You will be comfortable dealing with people and able to carry out administrative duties with accuracy and speed. The goal is to ensure that office operations are efficient and add maximum value to the organisation.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Opening the office buildings each morning at 8am
  • Ordering office supplies such as milk, fruit, biscuits etc. weekly
  • Distributing milk, fruit, biscuits etc. to all floors and Gadd House
  • Replenishing consumables such as tea & coffee weekly
  • Replenishing stationery/printer paper on all floors and Gadd House
  • Organising incoming post and sending out weekly post
  • Arranging couriers for training materials, mannequins’, sales brochures etc.
  • Maintaining meeting rooms ensuring they are stocked with pens, masks, wipes etc.

About the Role: 

This role requires extensive travel installing, supporting, and maintaining all of Vision RT product range. Due to the nature of the medical industry some unsocial working hours is required. This role requires the provision of “on call” telephone support on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Install, support, and maintain Vision RT product range.
  • Perform site surveys ensuring all aspects of installation requirements are met in line with Vision RT processes and procedures.
  • Provide reactive breakdown support (remote and on site).
  • Provide planned maintenance/ upgrade support (remote and on site).
  • Plan and perform installations in line with Vision RT installation processes & procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and our installers.

  • Excellent knowledge and PC hardware skills including replacing PC components.
  • Windows 10 and Windows 7; Registry editing; TCP IP Networking; Windows Updates; Com Ports; Firewalls; OS Upgrades; using Windows Images.
  • SQL knowledge is desirable.
  • Trouble shooting utilising Event Viewer; Error Logs; Debug etc.
  • Overview knowledge of firewalls and configuration.

Electromechanical:

  • Excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to drill and mount, mechanical bracketry in raised ceilings.

General:

  • Ability to read and work with technical drawings and architects’ drawings.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications.

Communications and working relationships:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Complete and submit on time ALL Vision RT paperwork. (e.g., timesheets, expenses, site surveys, customer installation acceptance report)
  • Liaise with customers and Vision RT support on all aspects of installations.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a cross-functional teams.
