Global Events Coordinator (UK - London)

Job Title:  Global  Events Coordinator

Reporting to: Global Head of Events

Department:  Marketing

Location:   London (Finchley Central) min. 3 days per week, option for remote working up to 2 days p/w

Company background:

Vision RT is an innovative medical tech company based in London. We have pioneered a revolutionary, market leading solution that enhances the accuracy of radiotherapy for cancer treatment called Surface Guided Radiation Therapy. Key cancer centers around the world, including all 15 of the Top 15 US Cancer Centers (based on US News and World Report) have adopted this unique technology called AlignRT®. Vision RT has been awarded three Queens Awards for innovation in medical engineering. The marketing team at Vision RT has grown rapidly from 1 at the start of 2016 to 13 by July 2022. Peer to peer marketing is the essence of our marketing strategy, with an educational organisation (the SGRT Community) at its heart. Our extremely strong links with top cancer centres across the globe give us unbeatable credibility for outcomes and usability, which we use to the maximum extent possible to grow demand for SGRT and maintain our current position of a market leader.

We also participate as exhibitors in most of the industry tradeshows across Europe, the US and elsewhere, to demonstrate our products to prospective customers

WHAT DO WE DO AS A COMPANY: SURFACE GUIDED RADIATION THERAPY

During treatment for cancer, damage caused by radiotherapy to the rest of the tissue is extremely strong. The technical solutions of Vision RT are focused on sparing as much healthy tissue as possible, and making treatment quicker and more comfortable for patients.

AlignRT is our flagship product; it is a camera system which tracks a patient’s position before and during radiation therapy, to aid in setup and treatment accuracy. Using 3D stereo camera units, AlignRT tracks the skin surface, and compares it to the ideal position with submillimetric accuracy, automatically signalling for the treatment delivery system to pause radiation if the patient moves out of position. This ensures that radiation is delivered only when a patient is correctly positioned, enhancing safety and comfort. It also removes the need for tattoos and permanent markings. AlignRT is non-invasive and completely non-contact, an increasingly important advantage for cancer patients, who often have weakened immune systems. AlignRT can be used for a wide range of conditions including breast, brain, lung, liver, sarcoma, head and neck and other cancers. Published data show benefits for various groups including:

left breast cancer patients: Studies prove that AlignRT helps to reduce radiation heart damage when used with Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH);

brain cancer patients: Studies suggest AlignRT can deliver the same clinical outcomes as more invasive procedures, with increased patient comfort and fast treatment times;

lung and live patients (with Breath-hold SBRT): AlignRT may be used to enable reproducible and accurate delivery

23 of the 25 “Best Hospitals for Cancer” in the USA have Vision RT technology, and there are more than 1,900 systems installed around the world!

Our mission is to make Surface Guided Radiation Technology the standard of care for all cancer patients worldwide. Our product portfolio is constantly growing and we are proud to present to the market a range of technologies that improve accuracy, safety and patient comfort.
