AlignRT® provides advanced 3D surface monitoring tools wich may be used remotely from the control room. Patient translations and rotations are calculated in real time along all three axes. Any movements that exceed user defined tolerances, for more than a configurable period, are detected automatically. Furthermore, a colour coded display indicates whether the patient is too far forwards or behind the desired position.

These tools may be used during any treatment. Howevr, they are of particular importance during hypo-fractionated therapies when it is critical that the patient stays in the correct position throughout radiation delivery.
