INTERFACING TO THE VARIAN 4D INTEGRATED TREATMENT CONSOLE

This module exploits the full advantages of speed and accuracy in patient set up as provided by AlignRT® through the published ADI interface of the Varian 4D Integrated Treatment Console(4DITC). This allows the treatment couch to be moved to the position recommended by AlignRT®.

The treatment couch position can be updated in AlignRT® through the 4DITC. The new coordinates computed by AlignRT® are fed to the treatment couch automatically.By simply accepting the recommended coordinates, the couch can be moved to the new position remotely.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
The 4DITC interface works with AlignRT® version 4.1 or higher and requires TCP/IP connectivity between AlignRT and the Varian 4DITC.

For AlignRT® to work with the 4DITC interface, the following equipment is required:

Varian 4DITC: Version 8.0 or higher.
Exact™ Couch: All versions are compatible.
Clinac® accelerator: All Clinacs with the On-Board
Imager™ device, or Clinac iX machines with remote motion option enabled, or Clinacs that can be upgraded with 1) C-Series software version 7 and 2) the remote motion upgrade package.
