Vision RT is delighted to announce new sales to multiple European cancer centres.

In Italy there has been a surge of activity during which seven AlignRT® systems have been sold and installed in recent months.

Ospedale Oncologico A. Businco in Cagliari have purchased two new AlignRT® units. Azienda Ospedaliera San Camillo Forlanini in Rome, Azienda Ospedaliera di San Remo in San Remo, Ospedale San Giovanni Battista in Turin, and Azienda Ospedaliera San Bortolo di Vicenza in Vicenza, have each bought a new AlignRT® system for their respective radiotherapy departments.

Following an earlier purchase of an AlignRT® system, Ospedale Maggiore Della Carità in Novara have acquired a second unit. “We have two AlignRT systems installed in our facility and use them routinely on all our patients” comments Dr Gianfranco Loi of Ospedale Maggiore Della Carità. “AlignRT® improves both the efficiency and accuracy of our daily setup and provides us with additional confidence during treatment delivery”.

In France, a new AlignRT® system was sold to the Centre Léon Bérard in Lyon.

In the UK, an AlignRT® system was recently purchased by the new cancer centre in St James’ University Hospital in Leeds. ''We are enthused by the potential that the AlignRT system offers us in relation to the accuracy of patient set up and real time monitoring of patient position in all six degrees of freedom” said Professor David Thwaites, Head of Medical Physics and Engineering and Head of Radiotherapy Physics at St James’. “We expect it to provide an important tool for the management of patient motion during treatment, which will complement our IGRT systems”.
