During the past few months, Vision RT has continued its path of success in enhancing the important process of patient setup, surveillance and respiratory gating during radiation therapy by adding a number of new customers in the USA. The following are among Vision RT’s most recent sales of AlignRT®, GateCT® and GateRT®.

New AlignRT® systems have been purchased by Long Island Jewish Medical Center in NY, and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

An order has been received from 21st Century Oncology for one of its facilities in Ashville, North Carolina, for Vision RT’s complete solution including AlignRT for patient setup and surveillance, and GateCT® and GateRT® for 4DCT and respiratory gating respectively.

Vision RT has sold a unique combination of products to Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. Dr Martin Fuss MD, Professor and Director of the Program in Image-guided Radiation Therapy at OHSU reports: “We are looking forward to working with the AlignRT® solution for patient tracking during Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) and other hypo-fractionated treatments at OHSU. Vision RT’s ability to track the patient’s position in all six degrees of freedom in real time is unique and will provide us with the necessary confidence to maintain the tight margins required for SBRT in a safe and effective manner.” Dr Fuss comments further: “Placing AlignRT®, GateCT® and GateRT® systems in one vault on both a Varian/BrainLAB Novalis Tx linear accelerator, and the in-room Philips Precedence Big-bore 16 slice CT will provided unique opportunities for near real-time CT image-guidance, and real-time adaptive radiation delivery afforded by continuous optical patient tracking.”
