Director, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs

Reporting to: CEO
Department: Quality Assurance
Location: London – you may be required to travel to other sites for the needs of the business

A fantastic opportunity for an experience Director, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs responsible for all matters related to QARA, throughout the whole lifecycle of the products (from design to production and post-market) and both for the US market and for the rest of the world.

Key responsibilities:

  • continuously improve QMS, perform audits (internal, suppliers and notified bodies), drive NCRs and CAPAs, manage the DMR, training, doc control, manufacturing QA, legal compliance for HIPAA, Sunshine Act, anti-kick-back law, review documentation produced company-wide, QA for activities for design control, including V&V.
  • obtain clearances in new markets, maintain clearance in current markets, lead Post-Market Surveillance, manage the Technical File and manage notifications for changes to products. Markets worked on include USA, Canada, China, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Australia, India, Thailand, Colombia, Middle East.
  • recommend improvements to products following analysis of reported issues, evaluate all alleged deficiencies on Vision RT products, drive analysis of high priority field problems, process internal and customer complaints.
  • lead Health Hazard Evaluations, report safety issues to (and correspond with) regulatory authorities worldwide, manage field safety corrective actions, corrections and recalls.

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have extensive experience in a similar role in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Must have previous team management

Research Manager

Reporting to: VP Product Delivery
Department: Research and Development
Location: London – travel to other site may be required for the needs to the business

Role Overview:

Operations Manager

Reporting to: VP Operations
Department: Operations

About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experience and professional Operations Manager to join the Operations and Hardware Division

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Production Schedule:

Review production and dispatch schedule with appropriate personnel on regular basis
Work with others on short term Shipping priorities
Following instruction from VP Operations raise and monitor hardware change requests to reflect changes in VRT product
Manage interface between VRT and third party quality procedures to ensure overall quality integrity

Maintaining Records and Logistics

Maintain Spares Sourcing Guide and  re-issue as required following approval by VP Operations
Maintain WEEE records and make annual submissions if required

Monitor Use of Sophos Licenses

Quarterly review of availability of critical components
Deal with queries from HMCE

Supplier Purchase Orders

Raise and expedite purchase orders according to VRT procedures
Liaise with suppliers concerning delivery dates
Maintain purchase order records
Negotiate and implement supplier agreements with key suppliers

Client Purchase Orders

Receive internal purchase orders and review order against stock.
Monitor progress of Client orders and liaise with manufacturing. Review with VP Operations on regular basis to ensure changes noted and orders are on schedule.
Liaise with Sales, Service Support and Accounts as required.

Returns and Spares

Manage stock level of spares with service and ensure sufficient production capacity to maintain this.
Administer appropriate disposal / recycling of all items subject to WEEE legislation

Development

Identify and facilitate improvement initiatives
Create and update work instructions and procedures

Management

Manage a small team to ensure that customer orders are processed and fulfilled
Manage suppliers and procurement to ensure optimum stock control

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working within a recognized quality system

Risk Management Engineer (Medical Devices)

Reporting to: VP Product Delivery
Department: Research and Development

Role Overview:

A qualified, highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Engineer is required to join our Research and Development Division based in North London.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and review changes to regulations and standards and make recommendations for maintaining compliance for risk management
  • Maintain risk management procedures, and related templates and forms
  • Support all risk management activities for full product lifecycle including:
    1. Maintenance of the risk management file
    2. Maintenance of the risk management plan
    3. Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of potential hazards identified from usability studies, post market surveillance and design changes
    4. Maintenance of the register of risks
    5. Input to impact analysis of design changes
    6. Risk review of residual anomalies and test deviations
    7. Participation in formal design reviews and project meetings as required
    8. Generation of risk management reports
    9. Post market surveillance
  • Support queries made concerning safety evaluations from the complaint handing team.
  • Support safety related investigations made in by the quality management department when investigating non-conformances, observations and CAPA
  • Contribute to, and participate in health hazard evaluations as required
  • Provide information, when required, to other risk processes, including production risk management, and cybersecurity

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in science / engineering based subject
  • Recognised professional qualification in risk management
  • Extensive commercial experience in risk management for medical devices or related field

Field Service Engineer

Reporting to: Technical Support Manager
Department: Technical Support
Location: Germany

Overview:

An integral part of the role and responsibility will involve extensive travelling to install, and maintaining all of Vision RT products. You will also be required to work unsocial hours on a rota based system for the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, support and maintain Vision RT product range
  • Perform site surveys ensuring all aspects of installation requirements are met in line with Vision RT processes and procedures
  • Provide reactive breakdown support (remote and on site)
  • Provide planned maintenance/ upgrade support (remote and on site)
  • Plan and perform installations in line with Vision RT installation processes & procedures
  • Liaise with customers and Vision RT support on all aspects of installations
  • Complete and submit paperwork within agreed deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Must have previous experience in Hardware Diagnostic
  • Must have previous experienced in a similar role with relevant medical industry experience
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience of drilling, mounting and mechanical bracketry in raised ceilings
  • Knowledge of wiring regulations

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for Clinical Applications Support Specialist – Eastern Region, US. An integral part of your role and responsible will include but not be limited to:

  • Liaising closely with key customer sites to develop clinical protocols
  • Attending exhibitions and providing product demonstrations/assisting sales at customer sites
  • Providing clinical applications training to customers both on site and remotely, as well as creating and implementing support training information (workflows, user guides, e-learning courses)
  • Providing phone support to customers and colleagues on the clinical operation of Vision RT systems
  • Coordinating or leading customer and/or employee training classes. May also conduct group presentations at seminars, training programs and trade shows
  • Liaising with R&D to provide product feedback and recommendations for improvement, and providing testing and feedback analysis to development staff

About the candidate

Essential

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy Technology
  • Relevant clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good team player with strong work ethics
  • Excellent computer skills and trouble shooting ability, and demonstrate exceptional customer service, interacting effectively with all levels of hospital staff.
